IPTV across Ontario, from Peel to the north shore

Our customers started in Brampton, but the service works anywhere in Ontario with a reliable home connection. What differs across the province is the internet, the time zone and what your household watches.

What changes around the province

Same plans and prices everywhere. These are the practical differences we see in setup chats.

  1. Peel & the GTA

    Brampton, Mississauga, Toronto, Vaughan, Markham

Cable and fibre almost everywhere. Condo Wi-Fi congestion is the usual issue, not speed.

  2. Golden Horseshoe & southwest

    Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph, London, Windsor

Mostly cable and fibre, with smaller regional providers in some towns.

  3. Eastern Ontario

    Ottawa, Kingston, Peterborough, Cornwall

Urban fibre and cable; rural areas often on fixed wireless. Many households want French-language content — ask before ordering.

    Wi-Fi vs Ethernet
  4. Cottage country & the north

Muskoka, Barrie, Sudbury, North Bay, Thunder Bay

Satellite, fixed wireless and 5G home internet are common. Check latency and data caps. Parts of northwestern Ontario use Central Time.

Ontario-specific things to get right

Programme guide time

Most of Ontario is on Eastern Time, and programme guides are usually set to it. Much of northwestern Ontario — Kenora, Dryden, Fort Frances and nearby — is on Central Time, so if a guide shows shows starting an hour off, set a one-hour EPG offset in your player app. Our troubleshooting guide shows where that setting lives.

Rural and seasonal internet

At a cottage or on a rural property, test speed and stability at the times you actually watch. Satellite internet can stream well but adds latency; fixed wireless can slow down in bad weather or when the tower is busy. If your plan has a data cap, remember that an hour of HD streaming can use a few gigabytes.

Many TVs, many viewers

Multi-generational homes are common across the GTA. Count how many TVs will stream at the same time and choose connections to match, rather than discovering the limit on a busy evening. For South Asian channels and cricket match times, see our guide to Punjabi, Hindi and cricket TV in Brampton.
